WHEN SHOULD I BOOK YOU FOR MAKEUP AND HAIR SERVICES?
Your bridal hair and makeup artist should be one of the first wedding vendors booked. Plenty of great wedding professionals get booked a year or more in advance. It is recommended that you reserve your event date as far in advance as possible to have a higher chance of your date being available. For weddings, booking preferably 6-12 months in advance is ideal. Waiting 3-6 months limits the chances of availability but is better than waiting last minute. Don’t settle for just any pro over the one you love for waiting last minute.
WHAT IS A RETAINER FEE? WHEN IS IT DUE?
A retainer fee is an advance payment to acquire professional services to be performed and to book your wedding date. This fee ensures that the professional will accommodate and book the client’s requested date.
For all services, in order to reserve your date, a 50% retainer fee is required along with the signing of an official service agreement. The final balance is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding or event. Bridal makeup services which are booked within 3 months of the wedding date must be paid in full with a completed service agreement. All retainers are non-refundable and will be credited to the total cost of the wedding/event day services.
HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR PRODUCTS SANITIZED?
All of my brushes and hair tools are cleaned with Medical grade Isopropyl Alcohol & special cleaners after each client. After each booking, my brushes are deep cleaned and sanitized with brush shampoo. Products that require dipping such as mascara and wanded glosses are used by disposable applicators only. No double dipping. By using metal spatulas, palettes, and other high standard sanitation practices, this plays a key role in keeping my products free from contamination. I, and anyone associated with my name, reserve the right to refuse services to any client that may compromise the hygienic and overall safety of an artist and the contents of our kit.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY BRIDAL MAKEUP PREVIEW SESSION?
The bridal makeup preview session and consultation take approximately 60-90 minutes, a bridal hair and makeup preview session can take double the time of approximately 2-3 hours. These sessions can be held on any available Monday through Thursday date leading up to your wedding day. I recommend you schedule the preview session at least 6-8 weeks before your wedding to have the look fresh in your mind but you can schedule at any time convenient for you. Notes and photos are prepared only for our records to recreate your desired look on your wedding date.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR A PREVIEW SESSION?
It is strongly recommended for the Bride to bring photos of her dress, hairstyle & accessories, and any photos related to the wedding theme. The more information received, the better that I can help create the desired look of the Bride for her wedding day.
WHAT PREPARATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR MY HAIR AND MAKEUP SERVICE ON MY WEDDING DAY?
Please allow the artist to set up 30 minutes prior to the start of your service. Please have tables and chairs readily available with ample lighting in order to perform the makeup and hair services. It is best to wear a buttoned down shirt or zip up hoodie to avoid having to pull anything over your head. It is important to add a cleanse and moisturize system to your daily skincare routine. Any allergies to any makeup or hair products are to be mentioned prior to the start of service. Facials or skin treatments are not recommended less than 14 days before service is rendered due to the elements that are brought to the surface can cause breakouts.
Gratuity: Although it is not expected nor required, gratuity is greatly appreciated and can be given to the artist directly.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT WILL YOU ACCEPT?
Cash, & Visa/Mastercard are accepted. Checks are not accepted at this time.
HOW LONG WILL MY MAKEUP LAST?
All clients can rest assured that all makeup will last up to 10+ hours with proper prepping. Please keep in mind that although special care is assessed to uphold the longevity of your makeup application, your makeup application can be affected without touch-ups especially in extremely emotional situations.
IS A MINIMUM BOOKING REQUIRED FOR WEDDINGS?
